Bottled water in some fashion is a necessity, whether it's a giant jug for prepping or bottled water for situations like this.
Bottled water's major problem is plastics leaching into it. Considering we have that from most things we consume anyway, cutting bottled water won't fix that problem.
However, bottled water will provide drinkable water to people who would otherwise be choked out by yet more hazardous chemicals spilling or leaching into water supplies.
Interesting that the frequency of this problem is getting worse too. Like how there is an e.coli outbreak every other day in the U.S. at this point.
