It is actually a pretty plausible idea. I know that I have had small instinctual reactions such as when a person is approaching me from behind, like an animal sensing an approaching predator. It wouldn't surprise me at all if humans are capable of sensing further into the future at deeper levels of our consciousness that we cannot normally access.
