The idea of DeSantis being a Bush proxy is not a shocker. But, the Bushes are a mere shadow of their former selves when Poppy Bush was at the helm. So, who is really pulling the strings? At any rate, I believe you are right. They overplayed their hand and were exposed for what they were - DeSantis may have buried himself.
