Don't let them take away your peace. Remember, it's what comes out of a man's mouth that defiles him. It's what you let yourself think and say that dims the lamp of the Lord and makes the way seem dark and murky. Evil is not new. If your words are angry, your thoughts are angry. If your thoughts are angry, you're angry. If you're angry, you're afraid. If you're afraid, you lack faith and love. Out of the same mouth proceeds both blessings and cursings.
Brethren, this ought not to be.
Follow Christ's example. You can do it.
Actually, it turns out that I didn't, for which I apologize. I thought I was responding to a post on the Uvalde shooting that involved a long thread of banter about 666 vs. 999. I don't know how that happened and I regret it. When I am in the wrong, I confess and answer for it.
But speaking of topics, do you get my point about the disutility of hatred in the act of self defense?
Don't sweat it. I've done that exact thing more times than I can count.
As for your point, absolutely. I thought we had already agreed that when acting in self defense, violence is needed regardless of the opinion you happen to hold against your assailant. Your point was well taken.
Thanks. The thread tracking on this is maddening when it drops of the main posting page. And I really do agree with maintaining a charitable opinion of "normies," who seem to be a disdained species sometimes. I do get disturbed at the attitude of "Well, let them burn in Hell if they don't wake up." I think you know what I mean, thus, your remarks.
