Oh he's a famous entertainer with an over the top transvestite persona which he used to perform as called Lily Savage. His alter ego Lily savage was famously sharp tongued.

He had a cutting but also fairly warm and gentle wit and while he was probably a far lefty, he was a tolerant and kind man as far as I can see.

He was very funny.
