Was it behind the scenes? Or were we wrong? Did Trump mention “April Fools” so often in that speech for no particular reason?

One thing that not many are asking is how did the grand jury immediately pivot from going on a one month break to indicting on 30 counts??

EDIT: So the answer is kinda: hell yeah something happened. Trump was indicted just the day before after it appeared that the can would be kicked a month..
