Type 1? Oh. That's something bad. I watched my dad developed T2. I think diabetic is the most horrible disease because you really cannot enjoy food which is life on hell
It has its ups and downs. There are worse conditions. Better not to have it, that's for sure.
Amen.
Type one diabetes is really nasty, people die very young from that much of the time.
I actually know two people who had type I. They were VERY disciplined in their food but they have to.
Although artificial sweeteners aren't healthy, I sent several cases for my Dr. there to distribute to her patients that were diabetic with instructions to tell the people that it was bad for non diabetics (To keep the rest of the family out of it) Diabetics mostly have no treatment, they can't afford insulin.
I think here in the USA all insulin or most is synthetic and costs a fortune, whereas in many countries they use bovine or porcine insulin which is cheaper, but still beyond the means of many people.
I like the Philippines people they are very friendly, but very poor. The lower class jobs pay 7 bucks a day and some pay less. Top that off with jobs being hard to get and having to feed extended family. Most people don't pay rent or payments, food is often the #1 budget item.
Lots of Asia countries are very poor. I know Vietnam was like that and also Cambodia. I have not been to Philippine although I am friend with one and we tended to notify each other of information. Here in U.S, at least we still have choices. I would not recommend insulin but diet and lifestyle change.
