Fren, you’re all over this thread praying to fellow servants of God seeking them to do things (in your case, interpreting the Bible according to a certain set of beliefs). The Q drop has a petition to a servant of God to do something he’s known to do. If you are uncomfortable with saying that directly to the Archangel, you can simply ask Jesus Christ to send the angels to protect us and we will be asking for the same thing, united in prayer and in service to God and country.
I posted that link to help them, I understand already who to ask for aid from. And during this week especially, it just kinda sucks to see Michael get praise, instead of the one who is King. Jesus fights the final battle. God fights ALL battles. He has His power, weapons, etc. I then show scripture that backs up what I’m saying.
It’s basically praising the tank in battle, instead of the one who operates it. Same thing. The rifle instead of the solider. The shoes instead of the runner. What’s next? Just trying to not insult Jesus by praising His servants before Him. I try to help others, they just don’t see that. Even with scripture backing it up.
I don't see anybody insulting Jesus Christ in this thread. Unfortunately sometimes evangelical protestants read the Bible, form their own conclusions, and find themselves in disagreement with the practice of the Church that wrote the Bible, which, yes, believes and strictly adheres to the Bible (I am here referring to the Orthodox Church).
When discussing things with Orthodox and also those in the Roman confession, it will advance the conversation more to include questions like "how do you reconcile your claim X with scripture Y which reads to me as contradictory", and listen to the answer. I assure you that what is happening when you shoot a proof-text Bible reference into a discussion like this is NOT "oooh ouch he got me we're vulnerable how do we change the topic". Instead it's often "I have a good answer for this but it doesn't sound like this guy has any willingness to listen. I would rather spend my time on things that can make a difference."
It seems like the strategy is shooting proof texts at those in the liturgical Christian confessions and expecting us to walk away with our heads hung. That doesn't contribute much to the conversation. It's very equivalent to doomers' sarcastic "yeah trust the plan" comments about Q.
And, speaking of that, this is a Q drop that contains a worldview, and interpretation of Scripture, that disagrees with yours, so it might be a good opportunity to learn more from anons who understand it. Happy to have that conversation if there's interest.
