It's just generations of money and power. That's it. When an organism doesn't need to worry about survival it behaves different. Someone that worries about food every day is different than someone that knows food is always around the corner if I keep working and paying. Then there's the way somebody behaves that has not only never given a worry about where their resources are coming from. All they know is that "other" people act desperate and scary and we want the security they have so they need long term plans to protect it with. That's enough. Doesn't need all the woo woo.
