Because Fat Alvin is a hopeless Leftie loser before anything else, who will realize very soon that he has lost absolutely everything over this stunt. Maybe his life as well...
Trump Quicksand is serious shit, lefties. By all means, continue jumping in. It's a good show! 👀🍿
But seriously, what is Trump being actually charged for? I didn't know it was against the law (doubtfully even true) in having an affair and paying off the mistress so no one finds out? And all the charges are the same thing, with ledger entry, summary, invoice and retainer monthly payment for X months. Plus, was even charged for 9 indictments from a third party setting vender sending his business invoices which was his attorney Cohen. Makes no sense what so ever... what law was actually broken?
But Stormy already did affidavits that she did not have a fling with Trump. Rich people that are in the public eye get extorted all the time and it’s easier for them to pay hush money than fight it. Think insurance whiplash claims…easier business wise to pay a small $30,000-$40,000 settlement claim than to fight it…. I think Trump got tired of the Stormy extortion racket and went to court to finally shut her up and won, thus Stormy has to pay Trumps legal fees and a settlement that was somewhere around $500k.
The main twist seems to be that while everything about the payments was legal they were being used to cover up a crime and that makes them illegal, Federal and a felony. Bragg has not specified the crime and has argued that the law does not need to have it mentioned in the indictment.
Other issues include: Trump is being accused of personally writing up the accounts - what $billionaire does that? Daniels/Clifford has denied the affair. Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, said Trump knew nothing about the payment. All statutes of limitations or the original misdemeanour have expired. Bragg may be relying on Cohen's testimony but Cohen was jailed for fraud and lying to Congress - good luck with that!
To say the indictment is "weak" is a bit of an understatement.
To answer OP's title question:
