I'm going to get conspiratorial here, but I don't think this is an example of AHB being stupid, nor do I think it's as simple as some young marketing idiot convincing her boss that this was a wise decision.
We have seen companies making these moves on a regular basis for a couple of years now and it almost always has a negative financial impact. There was a time where the share price meant everything to executive leadership and the board, almost too much (but that's a whole other essay).
Now we're seeing share price become a distant second to promoting the woke agenda for many large, publicly traded companies. The result for many a woke corporation has been substantial decreases in revenue and share price. Despite these results, many companies (eg. Disney) have inexplicably continued to double down on this strategy despite pressure campaigns from shareholders.
I would posit that the Cabal is at the root of ad campaigns like the idiotic Budweiser/Mulvaney promotion. Look at The Jab as an example. Western governments, media and the entire medical apparatus was in lock step to push the jab and suppress dissent. It takes a massively powerful, extra-governmental player(s) to make something like that happen.
It would be nothing for them to align the Fortune 500 to push a divisive, destructive agenda on the populace.
A lot of these companies require an MBA to reach the executive level.
Many of the "high status" MBA schools are pushing a woke agenda, and so these idiots graduate with an eye towards pushing the woke agenda.
In addition, many hedge funds, pension funds, and government pension funds are also run by MBA graduates who are also pushing the woke agenda, and they put pressure on the corporate executives to go along with the woke/NWO agenda.
Add to that dark money behind the scenes (the puppet masters) pushing all these people to push the woke/NWO agenda, and you get morons ignoring what customers want and instead pushing the woke agenda.
It is a real conspiracy (two or more people agreeing to do something illegal or immoral), not just a theory.
These 'fumbles' suggest they have no faith in the dollar anyway and are banking some 'social currency' amongst themselves. Perhaps moves like these integrate with Big Data and are fueling the algorithms for when AI calculates how to custom-manipulate individual consumers; and they'll just make up the losses then.
