More as a kind of deterrent, someone is more likely to cool their jets if asked to behave and leave if there is a gun or nine pointing at them
In a sense I'd agree, but there are (IMO stupid) laws against brandishing so if people did that they'd probably end up being charged and dragged through the shitty judicial system.
Or if that wouldn't stick, cancelled in every fashion by woke activists, or attacked by said woke activists physically (probably could still happen).
I still think brandishing being against the law in so many places is strictly retarded as brandishing to de-escalate should be preferable over having to discharge but I digress.
Brandishing a weapon in almost no circumstances will de-escalate a situation and in many cases will easily escalate the situation.
While it IS preferable to brandish a weapon than to discharge a weapon, it is extremely preferable to do NEITHER.
If you can't de-escalate a situation without feeling your best solution is pulling out your gun and seeing what happens .... your social skills are LITERALLY putting your life in physical danger.
Don't pull your gun out unless you intend to shoot it.
And you'd better have a damn good reason to shoot it. And have a clear shot unless you don't mind hitting innocent people standing behind the target.
Creep creepin' the In-N-Out just isn't that reason.
Sorry. But strongly disagree. And any basic training would inform you why.
That being said ...
You lift? Big arms may be far more effective in this situation than big guns.
I am referring specifically to the kind of brandishing such as when BLM or AntiFA are invading your personal property, which is definitely necessary to be able to do. You should be able to pull a weapon and tell someone to leave your property as they are trespassing and destroying with intent to hurt you. You should not be forced to kill someone to avoid legal consequences for situations like the McCloskeys. Maybe I should have made that clearer when I expanded that post to include that bit.
Brandishing in this situation would be bad, yes. But laws against it? Kind of lame.
My stance is that this is not a reason to discharge and I stand by it. You would be locked up sooner than he would.
Re: Lifting, yes and I have a big frame and big legs. But that won't stop the truly crazy ones who view you as non human enemies. It'll just stop your average leftist.
