Our prayers were answered..
My son was in surgery about 8 hours.. he got to his room in the peds ICU about 12 hours post initial registration.. pretty long day for all of us 😅
The procedure went well, his nurse told me he woke up and said he felt "wonderful" this morning.
Today he will try to walk a bit and I am making him an epic smoothie because he loves those.. i am getting him all his favorite foods this week 😋😁
Thanks everyone for your prayers and messages.. it really means the world to us.
He has a rough stretch ahead recovering but he is so strong and hopeful. Precious little man..
Lastly, does anyone have any post surgery wound advice on how best to minimize scarring? Aloe.. mederma..
Bless you all.. I truly love you, Frens. 🥰
Okay, the extract seems like the better plan, at least to keep it immediately handy for longer periods of time. Could you do the coconut oil with the extract instead of the petals? I presume the heat would evaporate the alcohol and leave the essence of the petals...
If you have already made the extract, you can add drops of to the coconut oil. Stir it while slightly heating it, it will be liquid easily. In Summer or in a very warm room coconut oil will change to liquid very soon. As soon as it gets cold again, it becomes firm. Just try this: Put a bit firm coconut oil on your skin and you will see how quickly it becomes liquid.
But if you have a wood stove, you could also put the coconut oil with the petals in jar on it stir often and let the temperature extract the goodies from the petals. Remove the petals while it is liquid. Here, I found a very short, easy and nice video for you!
