Because males and females both (generally) know how to throw themselves into their passions. If your passion is ballet, good for you. It's a bit gay, but who cares in the end.

But if you can't even come to terms with your sex, you'll never be able to be truly passionate about something. You can't be at odds with your own DNA and have time to be happy.
