I think too many people take a narrow view of NFTs, which is understandable given that most of what we currently see them used for is just art, pictures, limited edition digital prints, etc.

However, if you look at the bigger picture, the idea, if executed properly, can bring into play a whole new aspect of digital ownership. Think of how easily AI can be used to ripoff an artist and make a new painting, completely violating the artist’s intellectual property in the process. A well executed NFT could protect an artist when such an action is committed. It could also make it easier when a corporation tries to steal an independent artist’s designs.

I’m sure there are far more applications for NFTs (a lot of the GME Apes believe a new stock market that uses NFTs to prove ownership of individual stocks could revolutionize the market), but this is just one way that NFTs can change the world for the better.
