Edit: Thanks for the clarifications. One of my biggest regrets is not having kids.
It is most likely silver nitrate cream used to prevent newborn eye infections. Somewhat controversial (what isn’t?) but very common practice.
I think they do when they are fresh out of the womb.
Eye stuff? White lashes? They are all towheads They do put salve on their eyes. Ever seen a newborn before they are washed up? They are all weird looking skin
