Did they pay all those people to show up and get happy? Could he be that popular in Ireland? Does anyone show up for him like that here...or better yet, does he do much of this kind of show at home?

It reminds me of a scene from (I think) The Jewel of the Nile, where they had the rock and roll stage lights and effects all set up for (was it Omar Sharif?), who was, of course, the bad guy...
