The thing is that those of us awake view the "getting worse" part as cause for hope because we can see it's all going down. Yes, it will get worse and for those who see no cause for hope, who don't understand where it is all taking us, it will be much, much worse. But where they see eternal darkness we see a storm passing overhead and bright sunshine on the other side.
The thing that very few people seem to see is that the hopelessness, desolation and destruction of Marxism and Communism perfectly set the stage for the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus to thrive in the hearts of men. This culture seeks to empty souls of all humanity, Jesus offers fullness of Life. What WE have to offer through Jesus is exactly what these empty souls need.... they just don't know it yet.
