We didn't realise that are parents were winging it.
Our kids don't realise that we are just winging it too.
Confused, trying our best and generally making it up as we go along.
This was a big realisation that came much later in my life and since then my respect for my parents increased.
I'm half my father's age and twice as responsible. Sometimes it feels like he acts half my age and that I'm the parent. Definitely can't relate.
I can imagine Zoomers being able to relate to this.
When my Dad was 30 I thought he was so old. Now I look at old photos and he looks like a kid.
Not even 30 yet, and feel like I should have a midlife crisis soon
