Our world has been inverted into a dark comedy. Criminals wear Coof masks and hoods to conceal their identities. The sheep don't think twice of the sudden violence that may befall them. The virtue signalers unscientifically praise the criminals for saving lives.

As you pointed out, it's a scene out of the joker.
