I have traveled halfway around the world (different time zone, different constellations, different passage of the Sun) because I have family in southern Africa. Lots of horizon, as the globe unreels beneath the airplane, showing first one terrain and then another, as far as the eye can see. You can't explain space travel or the use of GPS or the use of geostationary communication satellites. If you know anything, why is it so hard to cough it up?
