I first heard of the Finger Lakes in the movie Groundhog Day.

It was the question to an answer on a Jeopardy episode he and others were watching.

Now I wonder if that particular episode was chosen for a reason...especially since it wasn't a standard episode--it was a semifinal match from the 1991 Tournament of Champions.
