It is also worth noting that they praised melatonin for issues relating to diabetes, blindness, autism, blood sugar control

Yes...they were looking for more quality control of OTC melatonin...but their solution was to take it off the market without a prescription....

More profit for big pharma and doctor's that way ...they could clean up the supply by having a standardized product like they do with herbs...then it would still be available for people that need it or want it...
