Beneath the surface level, it makes me think of the prevalent hero worship that happens. We aren't supposed to worship humans. They are all fallable. I really do appreciate good people who do their work well, don't get me wrong. We just shouldn't turn them into idols.

All those listed and more... athletes, actors, chefs, cowboys, influencers, musicians... basically anyone with a specialized, successful or difficult job, have been followed at one point or another slavishly by the "unwashed masses". Now, in great big swaths, not just individually, People are finally being exposed for what they are... People!
