Paul Furber - 30 your anniversary of Waco. Don't know about Koresh saving children, but it would fit in this situation.

I have come to respect the historical analysis from the decoding symbols blog. I don't always agree, but this recent one on Waco made sense to me. Here it is: https://decodingsymbols.wordpress.com/2023/04/10/waco-4-4/
I read the post. He doesn't have anything solid, just decodes to support his assertion that Koresh was a programmer. If he could show any associations between Koresh and people known to be part of the system, that would make me wonder. Whitewashing an atrocity by comparing the dates to the release of video games is Ok for speculative entertainment but will not excuse this unconstitutional mass murder of Christians.
You are right: it's theory, not proof. But it doesn't whitewash the crime. It doesn't absolve the government of anything, just lays out a different explanation of the motive.
MK Ultra types definitely have infiltrated the Christian scene and in general the religious undergrounds, so I can see why it makes sense to him. I really don't like the kind of thinking that victims of these programs need to be killed with fire. In fact we're all victims of MK Ultra. He seemed to imply that destroying the Branch Davidians prevented another '93 style WTC bombing, which seems to me to justify the conflagration, or to provide moral cover for those who did it. The story the Branch Davidians tell is that Koresh had such a compelling interpretation of scripture that people came to study with him, and yet I haven't read any details about his interpretations. I wish Dave McGowan had researched this, he had a good nose
The decoding symbols author is not trying to justify the actions, only explain them. Overall, the author lays out the case that the earlier, original tactic of encouraging defectors was successful and vastly preferable to the carnage of taking them out directly. The carnage is what happens when the bad guys clean up their mess under pressure, compared to the good guys with less time constraints. And this dovetails into why the Q plan is taking so long, because they've opted for more defection, real benefits for doing so (at Waco it appears the defectors did not receive the promised leniency), less violence, and an extended timeline.
This blog is very difficult to read; I wish it were more understandable. My interpretation above may be a combination of other posts besides this one, especially those related to the Bush family. And again, I'm not trying to justify it either, just searching for logical explanations. And this theory, to me, makes more sense than others. Either way it's an ugly stain on Reno and the Clinton administration, and the ones who put them in power.
