To be honest. I have not had time to get to it yet. My mother moved back in with me and I have been getting her settled in. She is almost ninety. Will dig into it when I can concentrate and have some unbroken time.
I often speed videos up as well. If it is just current event updates, 1.5 works good. 1.25 for more interesting stuff. Normal speed for technical information - especially Stephanie Seneff. I have even had to slow normal speed down to listen to her. Wicked smart lady for sure.
Never heard of her...I will check her out and see if she interests me...our technical interests may be light years apart....
I am glad your mother is with you...how wonderful that she is able to have a safe place with loving family...I hope she thrives under your compassionate loving care...that would be every mother's dream to be loved and cared for by family...you said she is in pretty good health if I remember correctly...get caught up and enjoy the addition of your mom...God bless your family...
Thank you. My mother will turn ninety next year. She only takes thyroid and estrogen which she has been on since she had her hysterectomy due to massive fibroids when she was 28. He has an old school GP who also did surgery. He told her she would be on estrogen the rest of her life. But, it was not Premarin - it was injectables. I think the estrogen, contrary to what the narrative says, has keep her good all these years. She is mentally sharp and very mobile. A great grandmother that even a couple of years ago was playing soccer with her great grandchildren in the yard. We should all be so blessed.
Anyway, I have had her on a supplement regiment focused on inflammation for over 4 decades that has kept her healthy. She ate what I ate - gluten free and organic. She only sees a doctor to get her scripts. All they can regurgitate is their scripted narratives and they call that science. It has been a pain in the butt when she moved to Ca to get her estrogen. They all want to give her a bad time about it and she has had to doctor shop just to get her prescription. They quit making the injectables, probably a good thing, and now we have her on a patch. Estrogen going through the digestive system really messes up the stomach and is not metabolized well through that pathway.
Another one is when at almost 90, they see something like "elevated" cholesterol and immediately want to put her on a statin. She has been well educated on the drill and they get quite upset when she refuses. Seriously... she is almost 90, normal BP, normal labs, no heart attacks or strokes, no broken bones, and they still want to tell her she is at cardiac risk if she doesn't take their damn drug. These people cannot think! With her medical profile at her age.... she must be doing something right. These people are stupid. Actually, longevity is associated with higher cholesterol - which the brain and cells need to properly function. Want to know why we have this massive increase in dementia? Jabs, omeprazole, and statins. But who actually reads the damn research besides me and few others?
It broke my heart to see the degradation of elderly patients put in a nursing home after they started statins. Every time I would see them, medical at the home would have them on another med - and it would all start with a statin. I would not give you two cents for most of the medical staff at these places. Honestly, most of the time, their so called treatments hasten their demise. Sadly, many of them end up in a wheelchair drooling on themselves before they pass. I only managed to get things turned around when I could get family involved. So, there is the importance of the family that you speak of. Our elders should not be warehoused. They need to be with family. We have lost something very fundamental to our humanity when we cannot take care of our own.
Anyway, I will get off my soapbox now. Thanks again for the blessing. I take them anytime. : )
You know we are always on the same page with our view of the entire medical fiasco called the Healthcare system...so your soapbox is perfectly understandable...I truly detest drugs....they keep lowering all the parameters and think you are too stupid to notice...just another excuse to push more drugs...you are never allowed to be anything but the collective "average"...I hate that...AND I am not fooled...cholesterol is one of the biggest lies....
Soccer? Wow..I am impressed...you really must be doing something right...great genes I guess...and healthy living works magic...it is surely something to aspire to...my social work daughter is celiac so she eats gluten free...it has an Eastern European origin as I understand it...they test for it at birth in Italy....we are Croatian, Polish, Slovak, Irish and English (our grandparents) so I guess it fits...
Well you are the poster child for caring for parents...you walk your talk...it is what we need but really not at all the way society is...sadly...
I made a fire and I am sitting on the deck to enjoy some calming time...I have been very stressed lately...I have a book but I don't even know if I can read...sometimes just staring into a fire is just the right amount of therapy to get back on track...it is a beautiful evening here with the birds singing as we are closing out the day...
You are so right that we have lost something very fundamental to our humanity when we cannot care for our own...and that includes the children who are warehoused in daycare and the poor babies who never make it out alive from the abortion clinics. I had 5 children who NEVER saw any daycare...it also includes caring for our own medically also...IMHO...which we agree on...life is all about choices after all...for everyone...
AND you have earned a blessing and a pat on the back...it takes time and effort to do what you have done and you are obeying one of God's 10 commandments...so everyone is happy, happy, happy....kudos...job well done...probably an extra jewel in your crown to be honest...
Thanks. Have a great weekend.
