Is it necessary to actually pay anything or is it just enough to get a huge amount awarded by a court and then get the associated publicity from a compliant media?
Courts only enforce judgements upon petition by the party trying to collect. However, newscorp is a publicly traded company. I would think their quarterly earnings reports would have to show that payment or the start of a series of payments. I'd be shocked if they ever pay anything like that amount.

How does a uniparty circle jerk settlement out of court for hundreds of millions more than could ever be proven at trial set a precedent that can be used against other media for other media hoaxes? Seems the DS has found a method to bury their crimes by having their media mockingbirds getting sued in civil cases. This is no different than the Sandy Hook / Alex Jones LARP. I'm very suspicious that very little money is actually changing hands.
This was my thought exactly. But, at the same time I doubt they really care. Fox = Controlled Opposition and to have your controlled opposition pay out $1B of likely Federal funding that was already laundered, to convince normies that the election fraud claims are bogus, is worth far more than $1B.

After the next election, they will probably appeal it and get it overturned. They just need to maintain the illusion that elections are fair.
