We’ve heard “the problem with stupid people is they don’t know they’re stupid” or “the problem with crazy people is they don’t know they’re crazy.” Undiagnosed crazies are a serious problem, as they can be confident and stubborn when indulging their delusional thoughts and behavior. The strange thing is that many of the crazies are aware of their diagnoses, but that awareness of their limitations still fails to make them humble or circumspect. It’s like they’re thinking, “I heard the mental health expert tell me about my mental disorder and I’ve been voluntarily taking these psychiatric medications, but I’m still certain that my impulses to display insanity are totally rational.” The lack of humility is baffling.
