I'd suggest you do your own research online about Tennessee taxes, particularly in Knox County. I could put you in touch with another couple we know who moved here from Chicag. They might offer insights that I haven't thought of.
Not that I'm aware of, I think it comes out of the general fund of county taxes. I'll have to dig into that.

OMG. My house is 1090 square foot.
I pay county tax around $500.00 School tax around $3000.00 and income tax.
Don't get me started about the second highest gas tax.
