I have actually heard of ONE reason for puberty blockers, that I agree with. Apparently, when a girl begins her period, she stops growing taller. Some girls begin maturing when they are under 5 ft tall, which can have lifelong issues; in that their bodies have not grown into adulthood yet. So, delaying puberty until they have reached a "normal" adult size has been done for decades.
To me, this makes sense. Forcing a young girl to go through life at 4' 6" instead of letting her grow to a normal height, would seem to me to be a perfectly reasonable course of action. Doing it because of her "feelings" is something else, entirely.
"normal height"
Thank you for your twisted input, where genetic traits are viewed as tools of oppression.
Screwing around with hormones is such a delicate business that it should only ever be attempted GENTLY in case of dire need. Height is still feelings, not life-endagering.
Puberty blockers cause sterilization, under-development of bones- that's lifetime, irrecoverable effects, and there are more.
We do not have the capability of doing this without significant side effects. Most people have no idea how many biological pathways each individual hormone is in. No vitamin, no hormone only does one thing, or two things... More like a dozen things. That we know of.
There are also studies that show girls are entering puberty at far younger years today than historically. Hormones in milk, for example, growth hormones in meat
This shouldn’t be common, or done without serious consideration. But some girls beginning their periods before they are 10 yrs old are probably the exceptions
If there are options; I am entirely open
