If the Rupert Murdoch is selling Fox News, then firing Tucker Carlson doesn't any sense at all, in regards to value, no?

Me thinks it is for other reasons. Perhaps for one there were too many revelations, Tucker push-back on narratives (ie. release of J6 videos, anti-vax reporting, dollar decoupling, etc.)
