The mainstream version we heard was absolutely censored at the "Jew me" and "Kike me" parts.
Michael Jackson was (is still?) Patriot
Man In the Mirror
"I've been a victim of...
A selfish kind of love...
it's time that I realize"
(on a personal: I'm 55, for those of us fortunate enough to have been there, MJ was beyond influential... and still is to this day as we decipher his lyrics even tho the media tried It's best to convince us he's Bad. Who's Bad?)
Michael's music and high energy choreography spoke to billions.
There isn't anyone alive who doesn't know his name, for one reason or another.
Everywhere loved him. His music transcended language barriers and racial barriers. Japan adored him. White people loved him. Black people loved him. Even the type of brash people who would be labeled racist loved him, because he was so good and brought so much positivity to the world.
He and Freddie Mercury proved that we could come together despite our differences and see beyond the bullshit they use to make us hate each other.
Michael Jackson in a time where race was supposedly heated, Freddie in a time where sexuality was supposedly heated. Both of them broke through those, and people loved them.
It's so incredibly sad. It was easy to laugh when Michael proclaimed himself the King of Pop...
...But years post mortem, his music still proves that he was and modern day pop "artists" have nothing on him, his messaging or his energy.
