New law requires Kentuckians to have a license to hunt and fish on their own property if it is less than 5 acres
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Lantern is reporting on a recent change in state law that will require Kentuckians to purchase a hunting and fishing license even if the activity is on their own property if it’s less than five acres.
Senate Bill 241 had the main purpose of creating more conservation easements across the state.
Governor Beshear vetoed it, but the legislature overrode him.
Rick Zimmer, President of the Kentucky League of Sportsmen, said he wishes sportsmen and women had more say on such matters. https://www.wymt.com/
Yeah here in Victoria, Australia it’s now illegal to grow your own food. Same as China. It’s for the greater good. For my safety.
So I did a bit of looking on that… I didn’t read the entire bill, but I couldn’t see anywhere that is directly stated. There apoo poop ears to be a problem with use of fertilizer, but I’m not sure on the entire context. Can you please point out to me where sources of the interpretation of “a grow food” comes from?
Swim in your filth.
New law in Kentucky to is, you can not go to swimming pool alone. Not even to bath in the sun ..yeah learned that today at my office.
If there’s no lifeguard on duty.
It’s definitely a bullshit law, but I am reminded that it’s legal to hunt in KY with a centerfire rifle, in OH that is not allowed, comparing and contrasting it’s safe to say the landscape is totally different in certain parts of the states, if anything this should be a more localized ordinance in or near cities, as opposed to a statewide law. They could have absolutely given Kentuckians a better option than this.
Well I mean I agree, and don’t know all the technical jargon, I was just giving “lawmakers” the benefit of the doubt. But yeah slugs and bows or crossbows, Ran over a dead one last year and the year before one ran into the side of my wife’s car, definitely sucks but I wouldn’t say they’re over running the land. The problem is with centerfire being allowed on public land, a small percentage of public land hunters would ruin it for everyone by shooting anything they see and injuring people or property down range of their shots. It’s not Colorado where land is measured in square miles
I agree with the first statement, but the second really isn’t comparable. Here’s a discussion on the subject, note all the differing opinions from actual Ohio hunters.. https://www.ohiosportsman.com/threads/deer-hunting-in-ohio-with-centerfire-rifles.32467/
This is where the localized decision takes place, theoretically if you have 50 acres of public hunting land in the middle of 5 or so densely populated towns less than 1.5mi apart from the center of that public hunting plot, centerfire rifle hunting could possibly be an issue. That’s all I’m saying, don’t even try to make it out like I want to ban guns or give the govt more control, that’s ridiculous. But I was going to say an hour ago but my phone died, if you want to use an AR chambered in a straight walled pistol round .357-.50 with a total capacity of three live round you’re free to do so by the letter of the law.
Hey Rand Paul ! Kek.
How will this be enforced? No Tresspassers on my property
