She was interviewed as saying Emmett Till did not deserve what had been done to him.
Only she and the boy knew exactly what had transpired. There's an account that says he grabbed her hand when she was giving him a candy purchase from her family store, then put his arm around her waist, and said something sexually suggestive. He was big and strong for his age. She was a small woman. Her husband was not at home. She went to her car and retrieved a gun--I would guess for protection in case he came back.
Till was staying at his relatives' home. They knew the danger he was in, even if Till did not. They should have put him on the first train out of town. This was the Jim Crow Deep South, and he was a Northern city boy who didn't know the differences in culture and mores. The story doesn't make sense if it was only a wolf whistle that spooked the woman. His uncle tried, "Can't you just give the boy a whoopin'?" Till was defiant towards his lynchers, which didn't help his cause. The lynching wasn't justified, but it sounds a bit like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time at the wrong teen age. He stepped into something he didn't understand.
One thing few people know is that Emmett Till's father was executed in WWII for raping Italian women. He had to sign up for military service on a judge's orders because he had beaten Emmett's mother.
The torture death of this 14-year-old boy was very horrific, but all the aspects of this tragic story, along with the individuals involved, are written in the Book of Deeds, and are in God's hands. There will be justice.
PS: Over the years I read many accounts of this story, and the details vary. I wrote my summary from memory. Then I looked at the USA Today story. That was the first account I ever read stating that there had been eye witnesses to the encounter. My impression was that Till and cousins were outside the store hanging out, when Till bragged he had had white girlfriends in Chicago. Somehow he headed into the store to perhaps demonstrate his 14-year-old prowess. After the encounter, the cousins got spooked by something, grabbed Till and ran home. If they skedaddled, it indicates they understood a boundary had been crossed by Till, although I am not sure what they saw or heard.
The article suggests the stories of Till and Floyd George have/will be used for civil rights. Different stories.
The coroner's report supposedly said Floyd George died of a fentanyl overdose, not the policeman's restraint hold. That type of hold has been taught to American cops by Israeli police (or so I heard).
There is another story that Floyd George's "look alike" has been seen alive and well, and that the episode was all staged with actors. The "cop" whose knee was on FG's neck has or had an IMBD page. FG also has done some acting.
FG was used as an excuse for pre-planned violent riots all over America in 2020. You know, the "mostly peaceful" protests. Massive case of gaslighting for the destruction of America and destruction of ethno-Europeans.
So now we have smash and grabs everywhere, thanks to the FG hoax and accompanying lack of policing. This is considered to be "reparations." That's just gonna get worse. Pull back the matrix curtain, everyone, please.
Did she even live long enough to realize what she had done and repent?
