Moons and planets do not affect people’s behavior just because they don’t worship God (or subscribe to any religion).

People who think that astrology actually works only demonstrate the placebo affect and human capacity to uncritically believe snake oil salesmen.

OK, but if lots of people believe it slavishly, then it would pay to keep an eye on the predictions made. Just so that you know when to avoid the streets, for example, when all the howlers are out. It is not a 'belief' as much as a precaution.
