yep, well... creditcard with pincode only is not so popular there as it seems... the restaurant on the left is full of customers, while the one that does not accept cash is empty... thats the way to show them! GREAT JOB ppl of Enschede!!
I've read through all the comments and the comment about the place being closed is CoverYourAss. One comment says it's closed but every other comment says 'why are the cushions out, the boards out and the tables set if it's closed?'
I think the restaurateurs are gormless (my new word for sheeple) for trusting their government, or compromised by having accepted govt coin.
The Dutch government has been pushing a digital ID for years now, almost succeeded with the coof ID, trying to push everyone onto cashless payment so I would expect shills to try to shut down this conversation in case people see the damage caused by 'pin only'.
It's also a corner of Holland which is traditionally independent.
They faced down the police when they forced shops providing life provisions to the locals to shut down.
'Pin only' means the restaurant will only accept payment with a debit card or credit card and a pin code. The reality is many people swipe their cards without using a pin or use their phone to pay but in all cases it's non-cash, digital payments only. These guys kinda jumped the cashless gun a bit and they seem to have backed down quickly after this tweet.
He's exaggeratedly rolling the 'Rrrr' in 'Later', something like 'you might as well shut up shop now if you insist on 'pin only'. Laterrrr dude!' (but without the 'dude')
I go places just for the change as well, sometimes something will be $5.02 and no specifically make sure they give me the 98 cents back instead of giving me a dollar bill being nice.
How racist!! There is a very logical reason why those terraces were empty:
Is Pin a girl or boy name?
The name Pin is a masculine name. According to our statistics, 0% of babies called Pin were boys, 0% of babies called Pin were girls.
We should all go back to cash as much as possible to push back on “pin only”.

Everything woke turns to shit.
That phrase came to me too. It looks like "Bud Light" marketing there.
Maybelline: hold my Bud Light
You may want to reconsider this post. The comments from it show a schedule and it's closed on the day this was taken. (If that's the real schedule)
the sign says 'welcome, open for lunch, diner, borrel'. pin only at the top. board out, cushions out, tables set, it's open.
On the Tweet is a reply with their schedule. The timestamp on the Tweet says Sunday. But I get it could be a vid from another time.

My hope is that it really is the people pushing back! That would be awesome!

So pin only is digital payment- like Apple Pay? Sorry, I’m slow lol
Yep. swipe or switch. debit card for your bank account. secured with a pin code. although nowadays also wireless, with any card.
What does Pin only mean. Why do people post stuff like this expecting us to understand Dutch.

Thanks for letting me know.
I like how the narrator evidently suffers either a stroke or a digital crash there at the very end.

A lawyer needs to test this. The lawyer could assert that PIN could be interpreted as Payment In Nickels!
That would fix em!
Pin Only.

These people are stupid.
Gotta find these Pins, they get to have the whole restaurant to themselves.
Not even the people who are "pin(nig)" could be bothered to appear. ;-)
And .... pin doesn't work anymore https://greatawakening.win/p/16b5zZTrf9/here-we-go-dutch-digital-payment/
