Trump a really good job of making the "chick" look out of her league. He navigated some of the questions so well that it was quite shocking to see what competency looks like.
It goes back to the theme of the modern liberal, black and white. You either for or against. There is only fact and fiction. There is no in between. Trump masterfully showed things are quite nuanced. Here are a few thoughts:
On Ukraine and Putin: Trump said if it was him, there would have never been a war. Now they are trying to make him make a choice to support Ukraine or obviously: side with Russia. He answered correctly: I don't care: lets save lives. They did it again with the Putin question: is he a war criminal? Obviously trying to push the muh-russia line again. He refused to answer for a smart reason: how are we going to get an enemy to the table if we shit talked him? How would that help end the war?
On abortion: Would you sign an abortion ban. I don't know: depends on the terms, and those terms would come to a head when I am in office. I do know it helped the pro-lifers, now the pro-abortionists must come to the table and negotiate terms if they want their "women's rights" back. They tried to paint him as anti-women's rights, but he show again: its much more nuanced than that.
The wall: technically he put down 52 miles of new wall. But that doesn't cover the literal hundreds and hundreds of miles of wall that were repaired. Like is said, a wood fence, knocked over, is considered a wall to the libs. He repaired that, and gave an excellent example of what misinformation is and how it skews stories.
Even when the liability was discussed: what does it matter if he testified? It wouldn't help, he was going to be railroaded on this. So he did the only thing he could do: laugh at the subject and her credibility: we all knew how silly the situation was. Same with the "grab-em" line. He corrected them on his language, and pointed out: yes famous people bring that sort of behavior out of people. Power is attractive. Deal with it.
Ultimately he showed how one sided the democrats are, and showed what politics should be: a negotiation. This was definitely a win for him.
I could go on, but ultimately I want to know what was the point of this exercise? Clearly this did NOT help the Democrats. It did not help this "chick's" career. It won't help CNN long term, this is a drop in the bucket. I can see why this seemed like a white hat operation, because the only people it really helped was the Trump camp.
Also with Putin, he refused to call him "stupid".
This is actually a lot of rhetoric both sides use; they call the enemies "stupid". They call people like Kim Jong Un, Putin, Gadaffi, Saddam, etc. "stupid".
They act like they HAVE to be intellectually inferior for not doing what THEY believe is the correct course of action.
Putin can be ruthless, he can be patriotic, he can be mean, he may have participated in assassinations and cheating, who knows.
But that doesn't make him stupid.
Kim Jong Un clearly isn't stupid because the saber rattling has been working for decades in their favor, and his family is still in power.
Saddam wasn't stupid, he understood that the crimes of his people would do nothing for his position and clamped down on it.
We can't just keep calling our enemies stupid. We have to treat our adversaries and rivals with an adequate amount of respect to mount a proportionate defense or offense if needed, be it economically or physically.
A real big chunk of the voters in any country are stupid, calling adversaries stupid make these voters feel superior.
I have been starting to call out people’s bullshit. ”Their politic’s is inflenced by Putin”, they might say and people go ”is that so?”. Most of us has no idea what Putin’s politics are, just asking ”in what way?”, show they don’t know either.
Not discounting your points but he repeatedly called the resident et al stupid
Well, he actually is. Or dead.
I agree. I think the real joe is holed up in a bunker in ukraine
That's because Biden is stupid. He wasn't always stupid, although he certainly made his fair share of stupid choices through the years. But now, with his dementia, he is truly stupid.
Yes, he is in office, and office which has control over the largest world superpower. But it's clear to everyone that he was installed there. He did get get there through his intellect. He got there as a pawn by intelligent, but evil, people.
Nobody's making such claims about Putin, Un, or Xi. Nobody, that I know of, believes these people were put into power by a greater power to serve as their pawn. They did it on their own.
Biden isn't the adversary. He's a puppet.
True
They like to say Putin is “crazy” too, as if that is any sort of satisfying geopolitical explanation. And so many people accept it. But if you ask them to explain, what do they say? Is he schizophrenic? No, not that kind of crazy. Multiple personality disorder? No, not that. Is he seeing hallucinations? No, not hallucinations. How is he crazy then? Oh he’s a madman. He’s insane.
As if all these generals and an entire state government are going to be led by an actual insane person. His top general walks into Putin’s office and the walls are smeared in shit, his tongue is out, he’s patting his head, papers on the floor, furniture tipped over, and everyone goes, “This is fine. This is our leader. He so crazy!”
