I wanted someone to do a deep dive. Lol. I will probably say yes to the public place dinner and trust my instincts.

Yes...but instincts fall apart with narcissists...meeting new people is very hard...so you can never regret caution...if nothing else you may have a lovely dinner or meet a new friend and those are worthwhile endeavors...also pray that God shows you what He wants you to know about this person...He is never wrong...
