I took a fall on Friday morning after losing my balance when my whole leg was asleep. I managed to give myself a compression fracture on my L4 vertebrae. Not fun.
I am in a lot of pain in spite of the medicine given me. I was told healing would take up to six weeks or longer. And I need to see a neurosurgeon in 6 weeks to assess my healing.
I am typically a very active 70 year old who exercises frequently, clean my own home, mow my lawn, prune bushes and weed gardens. I have never been an invalid. So this is very frustrating for me.
I was told I cannot bend, lift, or twist for at least 6 weeks. I couldn’t anyway bc of the pain.
I am asking for prayers for complete healing as I don’t want to have to go through any surgery in the future for this. Also need prayers for pain.
Thanks in advance to all you prayer frog warriors out there.
Heavenly Father we come to You today on behalf of our fellow anon swimkin who has been injured in a recent fall and is not only in pain, but concerned for the future. Father, we ask that You heal swimkin's injury completely and ease her pain. Give her doctors and other medical people involved in her assessment and treatment the heart and will to do only the best for her, with utmost skill and caring to help her on her road to recovery. Lord, give swimkin and her husband strength and patience with each other as they expand their appreciation for each other, for all their various roles in marriage, and strengthen their bond as they both soldier through this ordeal together.
Lord, let the medication swimkin is taking for her pain "get ahead of" the pain to help her comfort level while protecting her against any of the insidious addiction or bad side effects. Bestow an inner calm in her to allow her to get through this healing period without setback as she's normally active in everyday life. Lord, help her through this ordeal with an even greater appreciation for Your almighty power and love. Father, we ask this of You for our kind friend swimkin who is in need of Your help at this time. In Jesus' loving name. Amen. 🙏✝️
