Everybody goes overboard with the lust for "treason," like a drunkard sniffing hootch. It is the only crime defined in the Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land:---
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
"The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted."
(1) The definition excludes anything accomplished by Brennan or Clapper or like actors (no war is being conducted, as defined also by the Constitution).
(2) The definition does not mandate death as the punishment (though it does not preclude it).
Grow up. Get real. Find the other crimes and misdemeanors that would apply, and stop invoking "treason" at the drop of a hat. It only shows observers that you are frivolous and uneducated.
you may be correct to a point Deathray, however just to say nasty things about your political opponent is one thing, but to do what they all colluded to do to Trump is an entirely different crime of just mere treason sir,can you say ORGANIZED CONSPIRACY 'COUP' of a sitting president, and when i say organized ,i mean all the levers that were at the deepstates fire when ready disposal ,the ingredients included ,the MSM, ALL 17 INTELLIGENCE AGENCY'S ,DEMOCRAT HOUSE AND SENATE MEMBERS ,FISA COURT JUDGES,LOCAL AND FEDERAL ELECTION ADMIN,STATE COURTS,and last but not least our beloved SUPREME COURT that turned a blind eye to this political dumpster fire.
I have no doubt there is no shortage of other suitable crimes, so have at it. Be content with justice when it comes. Even treason may not be punishable by death. So, don't get your juices up in anticipation of hangings or firing squads. If all you have is a thirst for a lynching, you aren't interested in "justice."
