The importance of this is that Africa at large is declining to bow and scrape at the feet of the United States, which is a good thing for the political and economic independence of many of the countries (e.g., Zambia, my second home). Africans are asserting their self-respect in refusing to be an abused audience for U.S. moral browbeating---not to mention showing their severe disapproval of the demented and depraved LGBTQ agenda. Some leaders are still stuck in the "suck up to Big Donors and give them the kitchen sink" modus operandi, but this is starting to taste sour, since it only leads to indefinitely prolonged indebtedness and the rape of national resources by outsiders and corrupt insiders.
