Don’t know if anyone watches a programme called “succession”? The plot is about a family owned media conglomerate- reportedly loosely based on Rupert Murdoch and his TV/media empire. It Centre’s on which of 3 siblings will inherit control of the empire when their father dies? All characters are amoral assholes as is the father. The storyline is usual lefty rubbish by and large but there’s the odd nugget that makes you go hmmmmm 🤔. In this latest season there’s a presidential election in the background plot and one son is linked in with a supposed Trump like “right wing monster” candidate and the daughter is pushing the Latino democrat candidate. The portrayal of the hysteria of people at the prospect of the pseudo trump winning was amusing. The last episode Centre’s on election night coverage and touched on interference with voting with a fire in a part of Arizona destroying ballots and voter suppression and culminated in the network being in the position to call the election one way or the other - with the key players vying for their own interests as they could be served by each candidate should they win. Kinda made me wonder whether this was a sort of disclosure of “well this is what happened with pedo Joe winning?? Sort of softening the ground for normies?

Don't they always say the Satanist have to tell/show us what they are doing, some karmic retribution.
Wife and I watch it every week together. This last episode definitely made me perk up. It’s not quite fair to say it’s Rupert Murdoch although the parallel is striking. It seems more like this mega corporation is Disney (they mention they have cruises, theme parks, etc. ATN, the Fox News seeming network they own is just one piece of their empire) but they intentionally mix things up so nobody real feels too singled out.
Hmm... I've heard of the show. Despite some of the leftist leaning, would you consider it a good show?
It is a very high quality show, and not particularly leftoid. One of the best shows on TV.
I had to explain to the other half how it could be that a TV network decides the outcome of elections. It comes down to the loser conceding because of media pressure (Trump never conceded). Conceding based on projections is really a peculiar American thing, most countries wait until the final count is in. The episode depicted has it backwards though, insomuch as the lefty candidate (Biden) got the critical Arizona (iirc) call from Fox (and then they had to fraud it up until it matched reality).
But yes I explained how the "watermain burst" was the 2020 equivalent, allowing them to "pause" the count, there and elsewhere, throw everyone out, then bring in the van loads of fake ballots during the night. I suppose it is a kind of soft disclosure (but depressing the normies can only be reached by drama shows)
Good TV show though, very watchable. Interesting that the woman (Shiv) is only really pretending to be a lefty to salve her guilt at being rich, and also she is the back stabber using deception, not Roman who is straight about not caring.
