The cold bottom waters of the ocean have little dissolved oxygen. The ship is essentially resting in the metallurgical equivalent of refrigerated embalming fluid.
The ship is being eaten away by bacteria, which is what forms those "rusticles" that completely cover it. Other ship wrecks which are the same age don't have those because they wrecked in shallower water which doesn't have that same sort of metal-eating bacteria. Shallower water also means more sunlight and oxygen.
The Titanic wreck will completely collapse and disintegrate in the next 15-30 years. It's a wonder it survived this long, over 110 years.
You better ask Barnacle Bill that question.

News to me. My understanding was that it is growth, not corrosion. The ship would eventually become encrusted with it. Seems to be a recent development. Oh, well...sic transit gloria mundi. Here's the sauce. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-titanic-metal-eating-bacteria-and-corrosion-could-cause-the-titanic-to-disappear-2019-08-21/ Thanks for the info.
