Interesting thing I saw today was that Captain Cook was sent down to confirm Antarctica on one of his voyages, although they claimed he never found it. Then the doco said they sent him up past Alaska to try to find a Northern passage through the ocean. OTHER interesting item is the photo used quite suspiciously looked like the Antarctic ice shelf.
