And it must be so in order for it to FINALLY be done right. No more beating the beasts back down a level or two so they behave for a while. That's when they regroup, learn from their mistakes and rear their heinous heads after a cooling-off period. It's been going on for centuries. They need to be eradicated, lessons learned (by humanity) and this evil defeated for generations if not a millennium. We're well past allowing them to back down; the beasts must be destroyed this time. Exposed and destroyed.

Heavy doses of patience and occasional doses of hope and laughter to keep the esprit de corps buoyant are what's called for. Perseverance. Indomitable Spirit.

Evil will never be permanently eradicated, but it can be shackled for a thousand years if we do this right.
