Ukraine military assets were all wiped out mid last year and that's per msnbc. Anything Ukraine is curently using is supplied to them.
Considering Russian military strength, it has always been an absolute impossibility for Ukraine to win. Russia could just go in and crush Ukraine, or...
^and that graphic is from 2012 AND from CNN talking about how Russia vastly dominates and how Ukraine has old ass shit. Let alone a more current one puts a greater distance between Russian assets and Ukrainian assets.
Russia = patient approach, stretch out with the enemy making them fight multiple battles, exhaust their resources, etc.
Both have strengths and weaknesses, I think Germany style probably works best in a small country where you have nowhere to run (and a disaster invading the USSR), Ukraine is kind of in the middle size wise so you can argue either way.
I think that's an accurate take. Plus Russia like you said has a patient approach largely because they can, exlspecially with the population difference being so great. For instance Russia and Ukraine. Theoretically Russia just has to keep the Ukrainian military forces tied up until their economy collapses from things like mandatory drafts taking people away from their economy and supplies being prioritized to the military. This also creates extreme fatigue within their own population fracturing further.

Or just sit back and play a game if attrition.

Russia can be best understood as being the opposite military philosophy of Germany.
Germany = aggressive, blitzkreig, decisive knockout battle.
Russia = patient approach, stretch out with the enemy making them fight multiple battles, exhaust their resources, etc.
