There were (are?) giants in North America, too.
You can find old newspapers where they talk about finding the bones.
Then the Smithsonian shows up and the bones are never seen again.
America was once known as the land of the giants.
Magellan talked about meeting a tribe of giants in Florida. And Peru was the country that was actually known as land of the Giants.
Yes I've seen some good YouTube videos that cover this.
