Long story short: a lit up cross similar to this on a dark night led to believe in the reality and love of Jesus Christ after a series of odd coincidences led to me narrowly avoiding a head-on collision with a reckless driver on a winding country road.
Good advice. I don't know how anyone could get through the past decade without faith. For anyone around here that doesn't, I promise you won't regret making a real attempt to connect to and talk to God.
Personally, I'll never be one of those people that's going to tell you what the right and wrong way is to do that because I don't know the answer and that's just part of the journey. But make an attempt to create that connection and I promise it will make you stronger.
Now, in going with a similar but non-spiritual/religious theme I would make another suggestion: Find something away from this battle that rejuvenates you and gives you a bit of isolation from it.
We all recognize this battle for what it is at different points in our life. For myself and others around here, that was many, many years ago. And for many years, I gave up on caring about many trivialities of life because in light of the battle we have been fighting, it seemed almost shameful to care about what my hometown baseball or football teams were doing.
Now, every night my routine is to walk my dogs for 90 minutes and I listen to nothing but trivial things on my headphones. Sports podcasts, Star Wars audiobooks, etc. Nothing political, nothing serious, all mindless. Mind you, I don't give a penny of my pocketbook to professional sports or Disney (which owns Star Wars). I simply cleanse my mind a bit with some exercise and some nonsense and it has been a very good mental respite for me.
Beautiful! I've seen these breathtaking pictures in an email before but never had the opportunity to pass that way. Saving this link on my phone in case we are ever in the area. Thanks fren!
Today I lost a piece of jewelry that I adored. A gold cross charm with a small diamond. Yeah even small as it was, it was a bit pricey and I'm so bummmed but me and hubby's first thought was about the person that FINDS IT! Amen to them and hope it leads them to God's glory!
They just put up a two hundred foot eyesore of a cross off 160/65 a few years ago in Branson. Had to stare at that thing from my house every day till I moved.
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I make take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father. (John 10:14)
Hallelujah Praise the Lord. Jesus Christ is King. I am here if anyone needs prayer or a fren to vent to. Love you all so much. God WINS ☝️✝️👑🌈
God has Many Blessings..
God Bless!

Jesus took the wheel.

Looks like the cross on I-40 east of Amarillo.
Came here to say it reminds me of Mount Christo Rey on I-10 in El Paso... amazing at night driving through the city.

If your driving on I -40 you can't miss it, it's on the south side of the interstate.
Thank you fren!
