Humans don't have the capacity to duplicate a soul. Why would you think they can?
How do you define "soul." I've given you the biblical definition, and can give you references if you like. A clone is just an identical twin. Identical twins think, feel, and choose. That is a soul. It's part of the DNA.
Is your story holding that a soul can be split up into however many duplicated golems? And references mean nothing when contemplating such a question.
Honestly, for all you and I truly know...there's really only one big, fat Soul that encompasses all of Creation. I won't be cleaving absolutely to any story at all. My current understanding, subject to being shown otherwise, is that Humans do not have the power to create a soul. If what you're postulating is correct, every single person that we ever come in contact with could be a Human creation. I just don't buy that, and its a creepy-ass way to look at it imo.
No, my story is NOT that the soul is split up into different parts. And humans do not create souls. They are the expression of what is in the DNA. There are different functions that arise from different parts of the brain. They are innate parts of the one brain. Biologically there are different parts of the brain: the cerebral cortex, the limbic system, etc. And the right and left hemispheres are integrated by the corpus collosum. If a clone has human DNA, that DNA will be expressed in a soul. Even en utero, a baby has brain waves. The brain operating, the mind, is the soul.
I'm happy to leave it right here. We have a difference of opinion that can't be proven either way. Describing the brain doesn't really address anything.
