Tucker Carlson episode with Mattias Desmet discussing mass formation psychosis... but also a lot more... it got into the meaning of life by the end of the show. It is a month old - I missed it back then, but am posting the link in case others may have also missed it. I just thought it was a pretty amazing conversation, on multiple levels.

I’ve heard Desmet speak before. Part of his explanation for Mass Formation psychosis is the absence of spiritual meaning. In the past he has alluded to spirituality being a basic one of the needs of people and those with no spiritual anchor are the ones that fall for Mass Formation due to trying to fill a need they don’t understand they have.
He stops short of declaring God but at least recognizes our need for Him. I always find it interesting when scientists explain spiritual phenomena using their own language. They understand and even explain it well in many cases but fall short of acknowledgment of our being created in the image of God as the reason for our spiritual nature.
